About Colin Hickey

Originally from Ballincollig in Co.Cork, Colin studied at St. John's College in 2002 and then graduated with a diploma from the London Film Academy in 2004.

Colin spent two years living in Colombia where he co-wrote and directed the short film 'El Constructor' (The Builder). The film was chosen by legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog as part of his 'Rogue Film Seminar' in 2012.

Since then Colin has directed two feature films, the award winning 'The Evening Redness in the South' in 2019 and the experimental film 'Where the Merrows Roam', due for release in 2021.
